Pricing All of the prices listed on the web site are for the piece of furniture as shown. Changes to the design or type of wood used may affect the price of the piece. Small tables (bedside, coffee, or end tables), range in price from $900 to $2000. Chairs range in price from $1100 to $2500. Tables, beds, and desks range from $4500 and up. Chest of drawers, dressers, and buffets start at $6000. Personal Commissions Most of the work I do is custom designed for a particular client. Many of the pieces shown on the website bear the name of the client for whom the piece was designed and built. I have made many specialty pieces including, couches, entertainment centers, silverware cabinets, an armoire, corner hutches, game tables, file cabinets, stools, and videocases to name a few. If you do not see the type of work you are interested in on the website that does not mean that I have not or cannot make your specific project. Please contact me to discuss ideas, thoughts, or desires you have for your particular piece of furniture. Additionally, should you be interested in seeing more of my work, I will be glad to send you pictures of other pieces I have made. When we are discussing your piece of furniture, the decision needs to be made concerning the type of wood(s) you would like the piece to made of. I work predominantly with woods native to North America and would be glad to address any questions you may have concerning a particular species of wood. Payment Upon ordering a piece of furniture, I ask for a non-refundable deposit of $250. If I am asked to do drawing for a new design, there is a $200-$400 design fee which varies depending upon the size and complexity of the piece. When it is time to start your project, it is my policy that you send me 1/2 the price of the piece. Upon delivery or before shipping I will ask for the remainder due on the piece. Payments can be made by check or money order. I do not accept credit cards due to the fact that I do not generate enough business to offset the high credit card transaction costs. This also helps to keep the price as low as possible. How long will it take before your piece of furniture is completed? My backlog of work varies from three to nine months. When you place an order, I will give you an approximate completion month. Before starting your piece of furniture, I will go over all the specifics regarding the work with you. If you have any changes to make at that time, we will adjust the project accordingly. Delivery The cost of crating and shipping varies greatly with the size and weight of the individual piece. Smaller pieces are shipping in triple-walled cardboard cartons, with interior padding added as needed. Larger pieces (desks, dressers, etc.) are shipped in wooden plywood crates. The cost of crating ranges from $70 to $300. Extremely large pieces will be priced on an individual basis. Shipping is normally done freight collect. This means that you will pay the shipping company directly, when they deliver the piece to you. You will need to pay them by check, as they do not accept credit cards.
